This cat can be a real jerk. Sure, I enjoy the occasional headless songbird as much as the next guy. Shirley, however, was bringing me more than we could really use. I decided to try a collar and a bell in an attempt to level the field. Later that evening she brought a dead bunny to my studio door and proceeded to sling it's lifeless body around like a bloody glove made of fine italian leather. When the limp carcess hit the sliding glass door for the second time she looked up at me. "Murder!", I answered. Oil on canvas 8"X16" This painting is sold.

Methinks Shirley needs to be banished to the indoors world. Still...she looks quite a proud and haughty girl!
I love the ears in this painting. My cat only stays inside so the only treasures I get are small stuff animals.
Wonky and evil. Good combination. Shirley should meet my dog. Lucy doesn't seem to realize that cats have claws and kill things. She needs to learn they are not just chase toys...
How do you do it! Your cat paintings have SOOOOO much character. She does look like she just did a dirty deed and proud of it. My dog skipped the play and just ate his little baby bunny. He wasn't evil, just hungry.
