Whalebone Junction (SOLD)

She deserved a better board. I turned the board around and added a local surf shop's logo. The Jolly Roger with eye patch and surfboard cross arms.Whalebone Surf Shop. Named after Whalebone Junction. A whale once washed up at the intersection of US Highway 64 and NC Highway 12 (The Beachroad). Thus the name whalebone. Way Rad, Dude!

Rick, this is OH so good.....

Your reflections are convincing and your waves so well formed. The figure is one of our best! Great painting!

Oops, YOUR best!

You're right, the girl needed a BAD board. She and the mom seem to be the most interesting to folks so far. Poor son and dad! Dad looks a bit out of it so maybe he's best ignored? :-)

Both pieces are "way cool". Like 'em a lot.

Your reflection in the wet sand is great, and the girl is adorable with her cool board. I checked your blog and really like your work!

Personally I love the look on her face; she looks very determined to get back out there and conquer those blankety-blank waves! She will grow up to be a bad-@$$ surfer.
