These stupid birds act like the fenced tern nesting area doesn't exist at all! Little eggs and 4 wheel drive don't mix. While I was painting this I kept thinking shore leave. I kept painting in and taking out the looming dark clouds in the distance. I decided that the wheel rut offered sufficient drama. I feel somehow guilty for the perils that these poor birds are painted in. Acrylic on canvas 18"X36".(SOLD)

Being rather fond of birds myself (and a mother), I find if horrifying to imagine their perils! Please put them safely in the protected area!!! LOL
