Razzo "The Rocket"

This is Razzo and the boat behind is Capt. Skyler
It seems like I have spent a lot of time on this. Not always a good thing to do. Some of that time was more enjoyable than other times. Such is life and painting.
Razzo sits in boatyard in Wanchese and is scheduled for demolition.
Oil on canvas 16"X20"
I donated this painting to the Outer Banks Hospital Cancer Research Center.

Fishing Frenzy (SOLD)

here is a my rendition of a photo taken by the captain of the Fishing Frenzy, a charter fishing boat docked in Oregon Inlet Marina. Nice fish.
I never do this. This is from a photo I ripped on facebook. I did this painting as a gift for a nice lady that does a lot for dogs all across the continent. I hope she and the Captain of the Fishing Frenzy like it.

The Shapes I'm In

This is a painting of the shapes of these boats in dry storage in Wanchese, North Carolina. I painted this as "loosey" as I would allow myself and concentrated on just the shape and feel of these boats.
That's my story.

Feels Like Seafood (SOLD)

You can't make this stuff up. In this painting I am all about painting the way seafood  feels or the impression of the seafood. Just like the way you would paint the feeling of a landscape and not the things in the landscape. It is hard to know when you finally do get it right. I will let you be the judge.

Light Up Anxiety (SOLD)

The first time I saw a bullnose dolphin or mahi-mahi in the bottom of the boat, I thought "...what manner of mutant fish is this?" Just before they die, dolphin and other fish, "lightup" in a way that causes them to look florescent against the dark blue of the Atlantic gulf stream.  They are called the perch of the sea.
