Kill Devil Kittywake

Behind is the Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. The town puts on a fireworks display every year.on the 4th of July. We all bring lawn chairs and sit together on the beach.  A mixed crowd of faces, Republicans some, Democrats some, here enjoying a summer evening. A tribe shares the beach and shares mounting anticipation.  We sit together on the beach in the dark, waiting to sigh in unison ...."ohhh....ahhhh...".
