About This Painting:

When I was a kid I wanted a tee shirt like the ones I saw advertised with the girl and the guy standing there proudly modeling the bold text saying "Your Name Here". When I started painting this it seemed appropriate to add my own POV.   A blatant go at art appealing to the masses. This little house is in Nag's Head across from "Jockey's Ridge""Between the Highways"

I have a couple of easels, this one is my favorite. This is an old plotter stand with a piece of lvl attached and 3 12X12 tiles . It is on rollers. Works great. I am redoing a painting with dabs of orange.

This is my pallette of colors and where Mike Rooney told me to put them. I like it like this. I know just where to go to get mud. I keep a gallon of mineral spirits just to my right.

Sadly, when I started painting him, I realized that he couldn't make it without her. I will scrap him. Hopefully she can go on with some kind of life in a little beach cottage somewhere. I will keep the name as a reminder of their brief time together.

I have spent more time on these, is it progress?

I'm just painting shapes here. I struggle with warming the flesh tones.

I found a photo of a painting that I did in 2007. Acrylic on Canvas 22"X16" This seems like a lifetime ago. I 'd say that my favorite postings are the ones that end with the word (SOLD)!
I recieved this as a response on my painting of the Avalon Pier. It was signed as anyomous,

"I love this painting it is hanging in our
guest cottage on the sound. I also bought "Open Window" Everyone who visits love them also."
