KDH Blues (SOLD)

This is an ocean front home in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. The owners tend to change the colors on the shutters at the drop of a hat. I notice. The house was full of surfers this week. Thanks for looking.

Finalee

There is a boat on the Outer Banks of North Carolina called "Finalee". These boats are moored in Pirates Cove Marina in Manteo, NC. For me the name would imply how I feel about getting back in front of a canvas after what seems like an eternity. I will do my best to make up for the delays of late with new stuff coming. I find I am more and more selective about what I want to post, and I have been spending a little more time with my paintings, painting over areas of semi wet paint with another color just to see what happens. It does not always work. Oil on canvas 10" X20"

Permanent Green on Mud Creek (SOLD)

"It is God's will that sheep die at the drop of a hat." Oom Schlak Lourens said respectfully to the dead ewe at his feet. Sheep tend to "volunteer" for death with little or no urging or provacation.

Roanoake Island Festival Park Drawing Invitational

I am in with some pretty gifted artists here. I cringe just thinking about my doodles next to these fine artists works. I was able to find Bill Nelson's website. His stuff is amazing. Click here to see it.
I decided to enter this drawing invitational with mixed emotions over mixed drinks. I wasn't sure just what I had to offer. My counselors tell me I might have PEAS* .
*(paranoid ego-maniacal artist syndrome)
I am going to follow Mike Rooney's advice on being a name dropper in my posts. Here is a list of the artists displaying work at this show. Steve Andrus, E.M. Corsa, George Cheeseman, Gary Crane, Linda Crassons, Glen Dodenhoff, Glen Eure, Micheal Farrar, Jefferson Glover, Allen Lee, Denver Lindley, Bill Nelson, (Rick Nilson), Alyse Stewart, Ben Stewart, Rick Tupper.
