Sutton Street (SOLD)

At the other end of Sutton Street Beach Access sits The Wright Brothers Memorial. This hill was the site that the brothers first flew their little homemade airplane.

In my opinion it looks more like a big concrete jello mold.

Drivin' Ole Grey (SOLD)

I have painted this old grey house in Kill Devil Hills at least 5 times. A little oceanfront cottage along the beachroad on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  I pass it and remember its shapes and contours fondly, at 35 miles an hour.

What else would you call it? Its just another oceanfront scene along North Carolina Highway 12 ( the beachroad) sometimes called Virgina Dare Trail. Acrylic on canvas 20"X16"

Burnin' down the House

The house with the dome burned down the other night. One of my neighbor's told me about it. Again with the capturing the past.

This is another painting I did last year, and just now posting. The shingles on the two houses were close enough in color and texture that I painted them as one mass. Another scene along North Carolina Highway 12, The Beach Road. Acrylic on Canvas. 18"X24".
