Flounder

Summer Flounder. This painting can be hung at any angle. Something completely different. Throw the little ones back or else! Acrylic on canvas 24"X24" this painting is no longer available.

Rick, this is a powerful image. If hanging on a wall, upon entering a room one would be immediately drawn to it above anything else. Good work and very unique! Very different from your other work and equally as arresting.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and letting me know of my technical blunders. All photos up and viewable now and ready for that critique.

Rick,
I agree with Marylin--very powerful! Do you know Francis Bacon's work? Each time I've looked at this image something about it reminds me of his paintings--especially his self portraits.

Flounder would look great in my red kitchen with a painting I bought called "Mean Fish" by Richmond artist Will Turner. I think Mean Fish and Flounder could really engage in an interesting conversation. I hope to save $ to buy one of your paintings while your work is still a bargain (if only I'd stop buying all of those books and easels!)
