Sheepshead and Spices (SOLD)

I went to the fish market and bought a sheepshead. I asked the fishmonger if he had any with the head still on. I proudly told him I was going to paint it.
 He said, "oh."
That was on Weds. of last week.
I had to finish this still life without the star of the show. After a while the inside of my nose started to hurt a little bit. I think it was worth the effort. I don't think I am going to be eating it. The dog won' touch it, and I haven't seen the cats all day.
Oil on canvas 16"X20"
this painting is sold.

Hum... somethings awful fishy about your posts lately. Looks like you're on a roll with this series.

We had cajun crab and shrimp last night. Messy, but amazing!

Hope all is well!

Bonjour Rick,

J'ai manqué plusieurs de vos poissons... Celui-ci a encore l'oeil vif... Je ne savais pas que ce type de poisson que je ne connaissais pas puisse s'appeler "mouton".

Une très belle composition et de belles nuances de couleurs.

Gros bisous
