The eel hunters

In parts of the Dominican Republic there are fish camps like this one. At night the eels and the eel hunters with their homemade nets and their flashlights come together in the shallows of the Caribbean.

I really put myself into this one.

Paco ofrece su inocencia (Viva Tyler)

I traveled to the Dominican Republic and visited my son. He is making a movie there about children in Cuba who infected themselves with aids. This painting is my interpretation of one of the scenes.  The scene could bring me to tears as did this painting. The guy on the horse looks like Paco and Tyler. Maybe its the haircut.   I named the painting in Spanish as a tribute to the people working on the film.
