I make it a rule never to use others peoples photos. Dawn, (girl in picture)

is a  friend and painter (artist, not houses) who lives in Kitty Hawk. I saw this picture of her and her horse "Azúcar"( Spanish for Sugar). I loved the light in the photo and asked her if I could paint from it. Here are the results.

The Wake of your tail (SOLD)

I am no animal behaviorist, but I believe horses that are subjected to relentless biting flies stay in the wake of their neighbor's tail. I would. Take my word for it, this is my 1600th post on this blog. I have done at least one painting per post, probably a lot more. The more I paint the more critical my eye becomes.
