Suddenly one spring day late last fall I took this picture of a beach access and one of the remaining one story ocean front homes in Southern Shores. Originally part of "Millionaires Row" a string of houses on the oceanfront in Southern Shores along the outer banks of North Carolina. Most have met the wrecking ball. Southern Shores is the meanest town I know.

Jole Blons

I am trying to backlight a cold scene. I keep changing the ground and then the sky and then the wool and then the............I keep adding more and more paint to this. I wanted to look at it in thumbnail. Does anybody but me do that? Do you ever see that one thing that should have been so obvious? I think looking at your work in thumbnail is better than any mirror or upside down.

Grab Ass on Bitter Lake (SOLD)

There is a lake in South Dakota called Bitter Lake. It is called so because it has the lowest elevation of all of the glacial lakes in north eastern South Dakota. Bitter Lake collects a lot of sediment from all the other lakes. I took pictures of all the farm animals in that pasture on Bitter Lake last year and there were a variety of them. I am going back to South Dakota this summer. The weather there in the summer is usually as nice as it is brutal in the winter. I look forward to it.
